GU Analyser is a web-based learning and analysis platform ("the Service") operated by GU Analyser Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms").
GU Analyser is an educational and analysis tool for personal use. It provides structured learning material (courses and a reference library covering technical analysis and the indicators the Service computes), charting, technical indicators, a visual strategy builder, backtesting, stock screening, and a trading practice simulator. GU Analyser is a tooling and analysis platform — it does not create, originate, or own any market data.
Markets covered. The Service currently covers over 400 US-listed stocks, ETFs and major indices. Additional markets may be added in the future; nothing here is a commitment to any particular market or date.
Market data is sourced from Marketstack, an independent third-party market data provider, under a commercial subscription plan. There is no separate data-provider account or API key for you to set up: that market data access is included as part of your subscription. See Section 6 for full detail on how this works.
The Service is provided for personal educational and informational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice. See Section 8 for the full disclaimer.
Subject to these Terms and payment of the applicable subscription fee, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes only.
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a legally binding contract to use the Service. The Service is for personal use, so you must also not be using it in the course of a regulated financial services business — whether as an adviser, broker, portfolio manager or in any similar professional capacity. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.
Free plan. A free plan is available and does not expire. It gives access to the learning material — the courses and the reference library — and does not require payment or card details. The free plan also includes the tools themselves — charting, the strategy builder with saving, backtesting and the practice simulator — applied to a single index-tracking ETF, so the whole method can be learned and tested end to end without paying. A paid subscription is what opens the full universe of over 400 US-listed stocks, ETFs and indices, together with the technical screener. We may change what the free plan includes; if we reduce it materially we will give notice as set out in Section 13.
What the paid subscription covers. A Premium subscription grants access to the analysis tools, interface, and the stock market data made available within the Service under our commercial data subscription. You do not need a separate account or agreement with any data provider — see Section 6.
Premium costs $13.99 per month or $139.99 per year, and £9.99 per month or £99.99 per year for customers billed in British Pounds. Which of these currencies you are billed in is determined by your billing location, and the two are separate list prices rather than a conversion of one another. Prices are inclusive of UK VAT where it applies. For customers outside the United Kingdom, Paddle calculates any applicable local sales taxes at checkout based on your billing location. Paddle displays the exact total due, including any taxes and in the currency you will be charged, before you confirm payment.
Our refund and cancellation terms are set out in full in our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
In summary: there is a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first paid subscription, no reason required; subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled and you can cancel at any time from your account page, effective at the end of the current paid period; and approved refunds are issued by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, to the original payment method. Nothing in that policy replaces or reduces your statutory rights.
You agree not to:
What GU Analyser is. GU Analyser is a personal analysis and visualisation tool. It provides the interface, tools, and algorithms to help you analyse market data. GU Analyser is not a data vendor and does not create, originate, or own any market data.
No redistribution or export. The terms of that subscription do not permit redistribution of that data. You must not redistribute, resell, export, re-publish, display publicly, or make available to any third party any market data accessed through the Service, in whole or in part, in any form or by any means. Data accessed through the Service may only be used within the Service, for your own personal, non-commercial analysis and education. Consistent with this, the Service provides no bulk download or data-export function of any kind.
What is displayed. Charts show a closing-price line and a relative volume panel, and you can plot any of the technical indicators the Service computes — over sixty of them — either over the price or in their own panels beneath it. Every indicator parameter is adjustable. Indicators are calculated server-side from the full underlying dataset.
Data quality and delays. Because the underlying market data originates from our data provider and, beyond them, the exchanges and venues they source from, GU Analyser does not control and cannot guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Data may be delayed, restated, interrupted, or unavailable due to factors outside our control, including provider outages or upstream exchange issues. See Section 9 (Disclaimer of Warranties) for the full data-quality disclaimer.
The provider's own terms. The market data is supplied under a licence, and use of it must stay within that licence. Additional information: the data provider's terms.
Ownership of data. All market data accessed through the Service is owned by, or licensed to, our data provider and its upstream sources (including stock exchanges and financial data vendors). GU Analyser does not own, create, or hold any rights in this data — we hold only a licence to use it to provide the Service to you.
Continuity of service. GU Analyser's market data functionality depends on our ongoing commercial relationship with our data provider. If that relationship or the underlying data feed is disrupted for reasons outside our control, we will work to restore functionality as quickly as reasonably possible, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. See Section 10 (Limitation of Liability).
All content, design, algorithms, and software comprising GU Analyser are owned by or licensed to us and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written permission.
Your own content (saved strategies, practice-session history and learning progress) remains yours. These are stored securely against your account so they are available whenever you sign in; interface preferences and indicator settings are stored locally in your browser. We claim no ownership over your content and use it only to provide the Service to you.
GU Analyser is a personal learning and analysis platform. It is not a broker, not a trading execution platform, and not a financial adviser.
The Service is an analytical tool. Every figure it produces — every indicator value, backtesting result, screening match and simulated trade — is the arithmetic output of a published formula applied to the historical data and to the settings you choose. Change an input and the output changes accordingly. The Service forms no view, expresses no opinion, and has no knowledge of your circumstances, objectives, or financial position.
Nothing in the Service — including charts, indicators, backtesting results, strategy builder outputs, screening results, or practice simulator performance — constitutes investment advice, financial advice, trading advice, a recommendation, or any other form of financial or investment advice, whether or not regulated.
All strategies built using the Strategy Builder are created entirely by the user. GU Analyser provides tools to build, visualise, and test strategies against historical data — it does not design, validate, or endorse any strategy. Any trading decision made using a strategy developed or tested through the Service is made solely at the user's own discretion and risk.
Backtesting uses historical market data which may be delayed, incomplete, or limited depending on the historical coverage available under our data licence. Past performance shown in backtests reflects historical data only and is not indicative of future results. The practice simulator uses historical data and simulated conditions; results do not reflect or predict live trading outcomes.
Trading financial instruments involves significant risk and you may lose some or all of your invested capital. Always seek advice from a qualified, regulated financial adviser before making any investment decision.
We will never contact you to recommend an investment — and anyone who does is not us.
GU Analyser Ltd does not advise on, promote, endorse, or recommend any stock, fund, strategy, or investment opportunity, and it never will. That is not a policy we might one day change; it is what the Service is. It follows that:
If someone using our name does any of the above, it is not us, and it is very likely a scam. Do not reply, do not send money, and do not share your login details. Please tell us at hello@guanalyser.com so that we can warn other users, and consider reporting it to Action Fraud or, where it concerns investments, to the Financial Conduct Authority.
The Service and all market data within it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that:
Market data must be taken as it is found. We do not verify, correct, or guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness, and you should not rely on it as though we did. It is sourced from a third-party provider and is subject to the availability, accuracy and timeliness limitations of that provider and of the underlying exchanges or venues. Data may be delayed, incomplete, or otherwise limited by the terms of the applicable data licence. Because every output of the Service is calculated from that data, any limitation in the data carries through into every figure the Service displays.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for fraud.
Subject to the above, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or loss of business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid for your subscription to the Service during the 12 months immediately preceding the claim.
In particular, and without limitation, we are not liable for:
GU Analyser is a personal learning and analysis platform. All trading decisions — including those informed by any feature or output of the Service — are made solely by the user, entirely at the user's own risk. We accept no responsibility for real-world trading or investment outcomes of any kind.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, including but not limited to breaches of the acceptable use provisions in Section 5 or the data provider compliance obligations in Section 6. You may close your account at any time from the Account page in the app, which immediately deletes it and the content stored against it from the live Service — apart from limited records we are legally required or permitted to retain, as set out in our Privacy Policy. You can also contact us at hello@guanalyser.com if you would rather we did it for you. On termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Deleting your account ends any active subscription at once and forfeits the remainder of the period you have paid for; that remainder is not refunded. Your personal data will be handled following termination in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence entitle you to bring proceedings before your local courts.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any statutory rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws applicable in your jurisdiction that cannot be excluded by agreement.
We may update these Terms from time to time. For pricing changes, we will give at least 30 days' notice as set out in Section 4. For all other material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. If you do not accept a material change, you may cancel your subscription before it takes effect. Monthly subscribers will not be charged beyond their current billing period. Annual subscribers may request a pro-rata refund for any unused portion of their annual subscription by contacting us at hello@guanalyser.com before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The current version is always available at guanalyser.com/terms/.
